What we do guarantee is that the tag should fit in the space and should maintain contact with the sides even if not lodged in place. The good news is you can’t turn your cup upside down with liquid in it so a looser fit will in no way interfere with the use of your cup. Additionally, your Stanley cup lid is slightly sloped on the sides so the tag fits to the side and is not flush to the bottom. This is by design. If you push the tag too far down trying to get it flush, you will likely scratch your straw plate. This is also true if the tag is lowered into place at an angle. Your straw also needs to remain vertical with this tag on your cup, as angling the tag acts as a lever and will raise your tag because the straw hole is round, not oval. An angled straw will also cause the plate to not be put into place level, which will cause scratches.
